Job opening: Lead Developer
Publitweet is hiring a lead developer to help build the future of content management, creating a system that for the first time will be built from scratch on the foundation of the link-based, real-time fabric of the Web. Audiences will have interactive reading experiences and better be able to follow stories. And content creators will more be able to make money by selling their work in a online store based on the App Store model, or incorporating relevant, targeted ads.
You will have a major influence on our company direction and product, becoming an integral part of our small team. We have built projects that have already gained traction with big publishers in Europe and the U.S., and are looking to grow quickly. We have strong experience on all sides of media — and we mean everything from being a war correspondent to a magazine publisher — along with a deep understanding of media technology.
We’re looking for a jack of all trades and master of some who has a strong sense of usable, clean design. (And you use Apple computers and an iPhone, because frankly we don’t see how someone with any sense of design could tolerate anything else.) You are focused on users and building great experiences. You are agile and iterations spill out of your fingers.
We are passionate about media and the importance of free information to open societies. We want to empower future journalists, editors, bloggers and publishers of all kinds to have better tools for creating content. We see a major opportunity at this time of upheaval in the media to build the content management system for the future that will be used by everyone who publishes online.
Requirements:
-jQuery, PHP experience (MongoDB experience desirable)
-UI/UX design skills (wireframing, rapid prototyping, user testing, HTML/CSS, etc.)
